If you’re someone who maintains a website or does a lot of file transfers between a computer and a Web server, you likely have experience with FTP clients. There are a lot of them, but in our opinions, none come close to being as useful as FileZilla.
FileZilla is a completely free and open source FTP client that is available for many different operating systems. Windows user? You’re covered. Are you a Mac? There’s a version of FileZilla for that, too. Do you spend most of your time in a Linux-based operating system? Yes, there is even a FileZilla version for Linux.
FileZilla makes it easy to do all of that normal, everyday FTP stuff like transferring and manipulating files and folders online. But it really shines under the hood. It supports a multitude of different languages, plays nice with IPv6, supports drag-and-drop, and even lets you search or edit files remotely. And, as we stated earlier, it does all of this for free.
We’ve helpfully linked you to the proper FileZilla download for each operating system below. If you’re looking for a top-notch FTP client, you can stop looking and download FileZilla.
