  1. You do realize that you don't have to run the explorer shell right? Just kill the process or disable it from running in the registry. Better yet, why run any GUI at all? I find it so funny when people try to make their operating system barely functional so they can be like, "WOW LOLZ OMG I have 5 MB more RAM available to do nothing with because I don't run any programs because they use RAM!!!>@*@"
  2. This can be caused by malware most of the time. Do a virus and malware scan. If that doesn't help, do you connect through a proxy server, or have you changed your Internet Connection settings to specify a proxy for secure sites? In IE, check your: Internet Options->Connection tab->LAN Settings
  3. You can change the text, but you can't save the changes back to the server (in most cases). The file is stored in your browser's temp files. If you modify anything and click Save it just save it in your browser's temporary files (in most cases).
