I look in windows and find I have write.exe.........I look in ascessories and find I have wordpad exe. the interface and tool bars are identical but the size is different. exactly what is the difference except for size? thank you guys if you can satisfy my curosity....should have said I'm talking about winXP.

thanks...that explains it. altho I was stymied by a couple of big words like (text)...(ole) but I do realize now why freelance programmers wrote software to replace all three. have a good day.

Damn, had completely forgotton about those.
Much faster than more complex word processors like word.
I bet more people would use them if they knew that they existed.
