Talking tech since 2003

A new report by Bloomberg is stating that Facebook will sell 15 second long TV-style ads, that will appear on its site, for as much as $2.5 million a day. Facebook currently boasts over 1.15 billion monthly users and is clearly looking to take a bite out of advertising money that is directed towards TV.

For advertisers it poses the following question: how much more bang for buck would you get using Facebook for a day (or more) versus running an ad during prime time TV hours? That’s what advertisers will have to evaluate, and I for one, am curious to see what they determine.

Would you buy a Facebook TV-style ad for $2.5 million?
