The Surface Pro Commercial Sucks. Here’s Why.

Here we go again…  Microsoft has released its brand new commercial for the Surface Pro, which is the Microsoft Surface tablet that runs the full version of Windows as opposed to the Surface RT which runs Windows RT.  I’ll jump right to the point: the Surface Pro commercial is beyond terrible.  It features people dancing around in an office-like setting, drawing circles and check marks on what appear to be documents.

Just as I stated with my previous post on the why the Surface RT commercial sucked, this commercial doesn’t show off any of the potential of the Surface Pro.  If I were to guess based on the commercial, the Surface Pro would make me a slightly better dancer.  The Surface Pro is supposed to be a real computer that you can do work on, and you sure don’t get that vibe from this commercial.

Look at any iPad commercial as of late, they feature all of the great things you can do with the device.  I’m surprised Microsoft hasn’t taken a similar approach, because these silly commercials won’t help drive the sales of average consumers.

Additionally, the commercial doesn’t do anything to differentiate the Surface Pro from the Surface RT.  Watching this commercial alone, you would never know the Surface Pro can run full Windows applications and that’s a real shame.  It’s definitely something Microsoft should have focused on.

What do you think of the commercial?

The surface pro commercial has lost me 100%, it moves so fast focusing on the people jumping around in unison that I can’t tell what product is being showcased. I’m serious, when will they realize that the speed of the video cut is not proportional to the focus on content.
Also, these actors/gymnasts are about 16 years old, contortionists, unrealistic in every way, are these the only people that can operate the product ?
    I DON’T GET IT.

I wonder if the ad could be set up as a potential scapegoat. If Surface Pro sales tank, Microsoft could blame the pathetic ad.

      Haha! Maybe.

Because Surface RT don’t have neither lots of features nor lots of apps which can provide lots of features. And so does Surface Pro! There are few apps designed especially for windows 8 with touch screen which are great. Microsoft software market also sucks.
I think that’s why Surface Commercial sucks!

surafce pro is a laptop and can run almost any game and all full applications made to date, you do not need the store, if you want to cut rope and play angry birds get your self an ipad. you are a clear example of why the commercials fail, they fail to explain these simple advantages of surface pro to mindless consumers like your self.

I don’t get this commercial. A carefully picked mix of ethnicities shows how desperate Microsoft is to appeal to everyone, but they fail miserably. I’m not going to be dancing around with my computer. In fact, I’d use the Surface Pro as a coaster if someone gave me one. Mac all the way. Microsoft has lost it. Sony makes decent laptops. If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be running windows as my primary OS.

I didn’t even realize that, I just saw a bunch of morons dancing around. And lots of women crossing and uncrossing their legs. It’s the most absurd commercial I’ve ever seen and that’s in decades of watching television. I’m seriously struggling to remember another equally absurd commercial.

Absolute excrement! Couldn’t get any worse, a thesis statement summarizing everything that’s wrong with this country!

I like, makes sense if you are a honest, working hard person, I guess only a asshole, sort to speak, could said the ad is bad. :)
