Talking tech since 2003

According to sources of The New York Times, Apple may be working on a curved glass smart watch that runs a variant of its popular iOS mobile operating system. The sources revealed that the company has been experimenting in the area of smart watches, and that an Apple-designed watch would stand out against competing products by making use of a curved-glass display.

An Apple smart watch could potentially connect to an iPhone, integrate Siri, or even serve as Apple’s version of the FitBit or Nike Fuelband. It would be interesting to see watches make a comeback as new smart features are built into them. With the rise of smartphones, the watch has become more of a fashion accessory than a necessary tool. Perhaps the smart watch era could turn the tide.

Apple has declined to comment at this time.
